Funny, but I think my breakthrough workout for the week was the 24x25 IM FAST. I didn't even realize it until Masters on Sunday. We were doing 50s of odd and then 25s of odd and I was actually keeping up with everybody else. Somehow my fly went from just fly to being able to do fast fly and fly easy. Same with backstroke. I can actually go faster. Maybe only for 25 and maybe 50 but that's improvement over last week.
Schedule- I don't have much going on. Will be here this weekend. I think next weekend I will try and go to Laurel to visit Grandma. Thursday I am coming up with some clever way to have a cold so that I can take the day off and go to Dillon for the Patagonia sale. This will also involve a stop at the hot springs on the Jefferson and some eating somewhere. Next week is wide open at this point.
Also, the general schedule for this week and last week has worked out really, really well. I was pretty tired on Sunday night though and actually slept in a little on Monday.
Races: Half marathon or 10k in March? The Run to the Pub. Which distance would be better?
The week:
Computrainer Monday worked well. Got it set up and going within 30 minutes. I think I told you this already. However, that ride reflected in my roller session Thursday. I had a feel for the 20k interval and it was harder than what I wanted to do. I couldn't give in though and pushed my way through those 1:45 intervals.
Treadmill running- Actually felt pretty good. Felt better and faster on the treadmill than I have in the past. The workouts were slightly improvised. I am not sure if the incline actually translates to %. Do you know? Is that standard? Also, read Sunday's workout but forgot to really read it before going to the gym. Had to improvise because I couldn't quite remember. Went up and down but did it twice rather than two minutes at each.
Hmmm. Sort of out of words for the week. Sorry not super detailed.
