Schedule- This week may have to be a semi slacker week.
Friday at 4pm we sign the paperwork for our construction loan!! Then our banker wants to go the brewery for a beer.
Also, I really want and need to go and see my Grandma this weekend. I was thinking go down Saturday afternoon/late morning and come home Sunday. I can swim before I go. Skip masters on Sunday. I could run in Laurel on Sunday and do a roller ride when I get home. Makes for an easier weekend but family is important.
Next week- busy work day on Monday and Wednesday. Probably hard to get away during the middle of the day.
This week went very, very well. Despite my anxiety to get everything done, it did and done well. I used some group motivation this week. Here are a few of the highlights.
Wednesday was crunch time. I emailed Ellen and Michelle to run together to motivate me and it worked. We ran at least an hour, got sprayed from head to toe on a wet sidewalk, and had a blast. Then of course I was late getting in the pool for that long swim. Managed to finish it without lane lines and water polo people gathering. Swim was hard. I was tired and my arms were not at 100%. However, I managed to do those 300s faster by a few seconds each time. The last one was 4:17, I think. I was pretty happy with that.
Friday, met up with my friend for a swim. She has a faster slow speed than me so I kept up with her for the easier stuff. Good workout. Really tried to negative split the 300. We were also doing those 50s on 35 a couple of times. Good solid day.
Friday night run. Had a good mental therapy session. Ran for 1:20- 1:25. Got soaking wet in a rain storm but could have kept going for hours. I was pretty tired after though. Definitely didn't need to stay up so late that night.
Saturday was good swim. Got the pool dialed now. My friend teaches swim lessons so I can get an extra hour in there. Also, awesome group ride. Watched short track speed skating. I might quit triathlon and take that up. Think the sport is so cool! I miss Apollo! We rode for 2:20 or so. Only managed 3 of those high cadence sets though. Group ride was to much fun!
Sunday- masters swim. Not my favorite. Lots of IM drill.
Skied in the afternoon. It had snowed so the snow was a little like mashed potatoes. Made it to the bridge. Just short of five miles. Not super fdar but it took a couple of hours and was hard.
